About
About the Site
After a full year (and then some) of having this blog active, I felt it was time to focus on one topic. Although you may enjoy reading my blasé entries about food, travel and day-to-day life, it’s time that I share some (hopefully-not-so-blasé) entries on food, travel and day-to-day life from this point on as they pertain to… The Wedding.
Join me as I start my journey to get in shape, save up money, and make life-altering decisions like choosing between American or French buttercream icing. All as I attempt to finish my senior year in chemical engineering at fair Cornell.
If you have any tips, feel free to share them in the comments. And if you would like to help us out financially, feel free to use the paypal donation button on the main page.
Note: According to current statistics, the average American wedding costs about $35,000 these days. The here goal is to hold ours at maximum $10,000. Let the planning begin!
About the Bride
The name is Claudia Rodriguez, soon to be Claudia Montoya.
As primary author and chief editor of this blog, I am trying to keep this as updated as possible to track the progress of The Wedding. As if getting through senior year in chemical engineering at Cornell isn’t challenging enough, watch me as I do it while planning this monumental event with three weights on my back called: College Debt, Job Hunting and Long Distance Relationship. It promises to be a good show with moments that may make you laugh, moments that may make you cry and moments that will make you ask, “How the heck is your budget going to accommodate all that?”
About the Groom
This site was developed by Christian Montoya. He’s going to be the groom, as long as he doesn’t screw up.
He’s currently working 3 jobs to save money so he can pay off his college debt and afford wedding expenses too. A year is not a lot of time and he’s hoping that he can work hard and really make ends meet. Despite what he may suggest, disposable plates and utensils are NOT an option! (Neither is Vegas).
